The first thing that I had in my mind while landing at the Gilgit Airport, Northern Areas of Pakistan was how will I encounter a Himalayan Yak. I had no research regarding Yaks, all I knew was I could find them in Hamalaya. It was early in the morning; usually Flights to the northern areas of Pakistan are early, may be because of the bad weather conditions. That means I had a full day to spend in the Gilgit Valley and may be i could find the Himalayan Yak. I had no clue why I was looking for a yak but it may be because of watching Nat Geo's Documentaries from Himalaya.
